Andrew Flintoff: After being involved in a terrifying vehicle accident in Surrey while recording an episode for a BBC television show, former England captain Andrew Flintoff was flown to a hospital. At Surrey’s Dunsfold Park Aerodrome on Tuesday, the disaster occurred as the 45-year-old was filming “Top Gear” in icy conditions. The mishap took place on Tuesday at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, a test track for the programme south of London.

Andrew Flintoff airlifted to the hospital
In a statement, the show’s spokesperson said, “Freddie (Flintoff) was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.”
Continuing further, he said “All the usual health and safety measures were in place for filming too, Freddie was taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards. Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering.”
Andrew Flintoff: Legendary figure in England cricket
After quitting cricket in 2010, all-arounder Flintoff tried his hand at boxing in the interim before joining Top Gear as a host in 2019. For his valiant efforts in assisting England in capturing their first Ashes victory in 18 years, he was named man of the series in the 2005 Ashes.
After Ian Bottham, Flintoff is regarded as one of England’s greatest all-rounders. He represented his nation in 79 Tests, 141 ODIs, and 7 T20 Internationals, amassing more than 7000 runs and 400 wickets in all.
