South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against India with an persistant hip injury, stated the Cricket South Africa on Tuesday. Nortje was out of action since the conclusion of men’s T20 World Cup in November and he is still suffering from niggle.
“Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the 3-match #BetwayTestSeries due to a persistent injury,” said CSA in a tweet.
The CSA also said that no replacement would be brought in for Nortje, who has been South Africa’s premier fast bowler across formats in recent times.
The first Test will start from December 26 at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
