Virat Kohli: On February 15, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed a son into their family as their second child. The latest baby of the couple is named Akaay. Here’s the significance of Akaay’s name, even if Anushka and Virat haven’t revealed their son’s first impression yet.
A Blend of Hindi and Turkish Roots
Many portals claim that the term “akaay” is Hindi in origin and has Turkish roots. Anything or anything that lacks kaay, or shape or body, is referred to as akaay in Sanskrit. The word “body” (kaaya) is the root of it. Anushka and Virat revealed the news of the birth of their second child in a joint statement on Tuesday.
They said, “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay, Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love and gratitude, Virat & Anushka.”

She didn’t even frequently go to Virat’s cricket matches. Nevertheless, Anushka and Virat remained silent regarding the pregnancy reports.
Virat’s Personal Reasons Lead to Series Absence
For personal reasons, Virat pulled out of the first two test matches he played against England and then the entire series. The cricket player took a break after his close friend AB de Villiers revealed on his YouTube channel that he and Anushka were expecting their second child. A few days later, though, AB De Villiers retracted his statement and claimed not to know why Virat had taken a sabbatical.
