FIFA World Cup Golden Glove winner goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has purchased a guard dog worth Rs. 19 lakh to protect his winner’s medal. Martinez has reportedly got a dog, usually employed by US Navy Seals. Martinez has bought a Belgian Malinois guard dog which have been used by SAS and US Navy Seals in combat zones. Martinez bought his loyal hound from Elite Protection Dogs who generally deals with famous clients.
The dog’s breed Belgian Malinois and will protect his wife and two children as well as the precious medal and trophy that he received.
Martinez had an amazing time off leading Argentina to a third World Cup title. He has been in the news and faced criticism for his nature of celebrations.
He defended two goals in the penalty shootout that ensured Argentina’s victory. Post win Martinez made disrespectful attacks on French striker Kylian Mbappe at World Cup victory celebrations.
He carried a doll with Mbappe’s face on it whereas standing alongside teammate Lionel Messi as Argentina paraded the trophy again dwelling. Martinez, who additionally made a crude gesture after successful the Golden Glove award for greatest goalkeeper, was filmed mocking Mbappe within the workforce dressing room after the sport.
