Asia Cup 2022: KL Rahul was the stand-in skipper for India for the Afghanistan game must have been a relieved man to get a decent score under his belt as he scored 62 off 41 balls. It must have been very satisfying for Rahul to do such a great performance against Afghanistan. He has only scored 0, 38. 28, 6 in the entire tournament. He scored a half-century against Afghanistan and returned to the team after being injured.
Looking at the upcoming World Cup, this half-century from Rahul holds a lot of significance for him and team. However, in yesterday’s match, there must have been pressure on Rahul as Virat Kohli played a brilliant century while opening with him. There was no pressure on Rahul in the field, but when he had to face questions in the press conference. Then it got a little awkward for him.
He replied to the question, “Should Kohli Contnue To Open?’
Actually, a question was asked to Rahul whether the management of the team should let Virat Kohli play as an opener? Not because he did well against Afghanistan.
