Asia Cup 2023: It looks like a piece of good news is going to land on Indian Cricket Team very soon. KL Rahul has been out of action since the IPL 2023 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. His return was teased by the media and NCA for a long time.
The Lucknow Supergiants captain has been recovering in NCA alongside Rishabh Pant for a month now. Everyone wanted his return as he is a pivotal part of team India. Without him, the middle order has been looking shaky.
Many reports teased his return for Asia Cup or World Cup 2023. But it looks like we will get to see KL Rahul in action even before that. An hour ago, KL Rahul posted a picture on Instagram with a cryptic message that led to fans thinking about his return.
Eyeing Asia Cup 2023?
The wicket-keeper batsman posted a picture of him lying on the grass under the sun. The player was looking to be relaxing after a long workout and practice session. You can see the sweating in the picture as well.
But what took my attention was the caption. The caption read “Starting to feel myself again.” This only means one thing KL Rahul’s recovery is going better than expected and he might return in the Blue color sooner rather than later.
It will be a huge boost for India as the position of white ball format wicketkeeper is still not decided. And having KL Rahul in the team solves that problem immediately and also makes the middle order strong.
Ireland Series In Question?
India will be playing a three-match T20 series against Ireland before Asia Cup 2023. And if everything goes right we can see both Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul back in action for that series.
It will be a good warmup for both players ahead of the Asia Cup and ultimately the ICC World Cup 2023.
