Asia Cup 2023: Preparations for the 2023 Asia Cup are now in full swing for Team India, with prominent players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik Pandya commencing their journey to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
Asia Cup 2023 preparation begins
Rahul Dravid and his team of coaches are taking the lead in Bengaluru as India’s training camp for the Asia Cup commences on Thursday. Following their engagements in Ireland, players like Sanju Samson, Prasidh Krishna, and Jasprit Bumrah are scheduled to join the camp within the next three days. The Asia Cup 2023 training camp will remain active until August 29th.
After the culmination of the IND vs WI ODIs, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opted for a period of rest. While some of their teammates embarked on a journey to Dublin for the India vs Ireland series, notable figures like Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav returned home following their participation in the T20 series in the Caribbean. Participation in the camp is exclusively reserved for members of the squad, as it is solely dedicated to the Asia Cup team.
