Asia Cup 2023: The eagerly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to kick off on August 30th, featuring Pakistan as the proud hosts launching the tournament against Nepal at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Amidst much conjecture surrounding India’s participation in the continental championship on Pakistani soil, a solution was reached that India’s matches would unfold at a neutral location. In an unexpected turn, Sri Lanka joined Pakistan as a co-host for the event. However, a recent sensation has swept through social media: an image showing the word “Pakistan” written on an Indian jersey has taken the online sphere by storm.

Pakistan wrote on India’s jersey
While the authenticity of the information remains unconfirmed, there is a visible possibility of the Indian team donning the mentioned jersey. This potentiality arises from the stipulation that teams must display the Asia Cup logo on their T-shirts, alongside the name of the host country. Notably, Pakistan retains its official status as the host, even as matches are conducted across both Pakistan and Sri Lanka. India’s matches, in particular, are exclusively scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka.
Regarding the Asia Cup 2023, the highly awaited encounter between India and Pakistan is slated for September 2nd at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. It’s worth noting the potential for up to three intense India-Pakistan clashes within this tournament’s framework. The initial IND-PAK match falls under the Group A category, followed by a potential meeting in a Super 4 fixture, culminating in the possibility of another showdown in the final match.
