IND vs PAK: It was unclear if the Indian cricket team would go to Pakistan for the competition, which was scheduled to take place there in 2023. Although there have been some rumours that the Men in Blue were prepared to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup but now Jay Shah, president of the Asian Cricket Council and secretary of the BCCI, has clarified that India would not be visiting its neighbour for the Asia Cup in 2023.
The Asia Cup 2023 would most likely take place at a neutral site, according to Jay Shah. Due to political difficulties between the two nations, this results from poor cricket relations.
Earlier, many reports had come forward that BCCI is planning to send Team India but since these claims have been refuted by the secretary, Jay Shah, himself, hopes for better cricketing relations between the countries has now almost ended. Prior to this, BCCI had already announced that there will be no bilateral series between both the nation Atleast until 2027.
