Asia Cup 2023

Pakistan all rounder Shadab Khan has come out and bashed Indian chief selector Ajit Agarkar over his comment on Asia Cup 2023 conference.

Asia Cup 2023: With the continental tournament starting in just a few days, the tension between the nations is sky-high. India will kickstart their campaign in the tournament on September 2 against their arch-rivals Pakistan.

India announced their squad for Asia Cup 2023 pretty late because of the injury scares. Skipper Rohit Sharma and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar attended the press conference themselves to announce the squad.

It was a lighthearted conference where both of them answered the interviewers honestly. One such statement by Ajit Agarkar has created a lot of controversy. When asked about what will India do against Pakistan’s pace attack, the former Indian pacer replied “Virat Kohli will handle them”.

Shadab Khan Strikes Back

A few days after the press conference, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan fired back over the remarks. He was furious over the remarks by the Indian chief selector and replied with all his might.

He stated that it all depends on the day. Everyone can talk and can say whatever they want but it does not make any difference. The scenario will be different when the match takes place and then only we will get to know the real answer.

The last time India and Pakistan faced each other was in the 2022 T20 World Cup and Virat Kohli played a match-winning innings of 82 runs. India won a famous match when Ashwin scored that last run.
