Asian Games 2023: The upcoming tournament is looking very hopeful for the Indian athletes. The tournament is set to be held in China from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
In the last iteration of the Asian Games, India won 16 gold, 23 silver, and 31 bronze medals. This time, we are looking even better than before with the Indian male cricket team also part of the contingent.
The Indian contingent is looking at medals from various athletes and one of them is definitely Nikhat Zareen. Nikhat is the reigning world champion in the women’s 50 kg category and is on an undefeated streak.

Nikhat will be making her debut in the Asian Games as she has never contested in this tournament before. But even though it is her debut Asian Games, the 27-year-old is the prime contender for a gold medal in her category.
She has been on a merciless streak and has been undefeated since March 2022. In this time frame, she has won two world titles and a Commonwealth Games gold. This record is something to definitely marvel at.
And the most impressive thing is the fashion that she has been winning for more than a year. Nikhat is one of the most dominant female boxers that the world has ever seen. Whenever she crosses someone’s path, only pieces are left of that boxer.
Eyes On Olympics Spot
Nikhat will be far more motivated and inspired to win the Asian Games 2023, as these games will also affect the Olympic qualification. Four Olympic berths will be available in the 50kg division.
She has been the marquee athlete of India for more than a year now. She would like to add the Asiad medal to her cabinet and a Paris Olympics qualification will be a wonderful add-on.
