At just 15 years old, she delivered an impressive performance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and currently holds the title of U-17 Asian Champion in the sport.
4. Pooja – 16 Years Old, Athletic High Jump
Pooja, the youngest athlete in the Indian athletics contingent, stands out as one of the country’s top female high jumpers. Her season-best jump of 1.82 meters ranks as the best in the current season. Currently, she holds a position among the top 15 high jumpers in Asia. Savitha Sree, born in 2007, achieved the remarkable feat of becoming a Women’s Grandmaster at just 16 years old. With an impressive rapid rating of 2236 and a classical rating of 2375, Savitha secured the bronze medal at the World Rapid Championships, making her the second Indian woman ever to accomplish this remarkable feat.
