Asian Games 2023: India secured 20 medals on the fourth day of the 2023 Asian Games, comprising 5 golds, 5 silvers, and 10 bronzes. China tops the medal standings with 110 medals, followed by the Republic of Korea with 55 and Japan with 51. India currently occupies the sixth position.
Medals in Shooting
At the Asian Games, Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan ran riot with their shooting skills to secure the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol team event. Their total score of 1759 placed them at the top of the podium, earning India its fourth gold medal at the event.
Additionally, Indian shooters claimed a silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position event, with Ashi Chouksey, Manini Koushik, and Sift Kaur Samra achieving a total score of 1764 points in the qualification round to secure second place.
Medals galore for India
India added a bronze medal in the skeet-50 team men’s event. Esha Singh secured the silver medal in the 25m women’s pistol final, with China’s Rui Liu taking the gold and setting a new Asian Games record.
Manu Bhaker finished in fifth place. Anant Singh Naruka claimed silver in the men’s skeet final. The Indian women’s hockey team started their campaign strongly with a dominant 13-0 victory over Singapore in Pool A. Roshibina Devi, who has already secured a bronze in the women’s 60kg event, aims to progress further in the competition.
