On the fifth day of the third Test match between Australia and South Africa, the African team batsman Heinrich Klaasen, who came out to bat in his second innings and was batting brilliantly in the second innings, was followed on by the South African team and Australia. However, Josh Hazlewood, who entered the game to bowl in the 27th over of the second innings, bowled a superb ball in this over. The ball brilliantly changed the bite and went through the stumps, leaving the batsman helpless. In this game, Josh Hazlewood bowled exceptionally well and finished with a five-wicket haul by taking four wickets in the first innings and one in the second.
Australia won the series 2–0
Australia defeated South Africa in a three-match Test series, winning the first and second games to take a 2-0 series lead. Due to Australia’s victory in this series, they are now strong candidates to play in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, which will take place in June 2023. As a result, the third game of the series was drawn. Since 2016, Australia’s team has only dropped two Test series at home, both against India.
