AUS vs SA: Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada of South Africa joined the audience at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday, and they all had a great time. The Australian batsmen, led by David Warner, put the hosts in a commanding position on Day two of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, making it difficult for Rabada and Nortje to pick up wickets.

Rabada turns to enjoy his time with MCG crowd

With the score at 45 for one when their innings began, Warner was at the top of his game, scoring runs all over the place, reaching a stunning double hundred, and shattering numerous records. Steve Smith, who made 85 runs off of 161 balls, helped the opening along as they inflicted further suffering on the South African bowlers.

Nevertheless, Nortje and Rabada did have some humorous moments throughout the exhausting day as the MCG crowd chose to amuse themselves with them. Rabada took over as the crowd manager in Melbourne, and the supporters tried to follow his lead. A humorous and amazing scene was created when the South African pacemaker decided to conduct a mock stretching session with the help of the audience.

The viral video has garnered more than 1.2 million views along with 17.8k likes within just a day and is getting rapidly shared since then.

While Nortje enjoyed some beverages, the audience enjoyed watching him. The crowd chanted “chug, chug, chug!” in support of him finishing the bottle in one sitting. The pacer did as ask, and the cowd applauded him for it.

Speaking about the game, Australia had declared their innings on 575/8 after 145 overs. Earlier, Proteas had scored 189 runs in their first innings. On stumps at day 3, South Africa are currently batting on 15/1 after seven overs, and trail by 371 runs. In their mammoth total, Warner hit a double century, Steve Smith added a fifty, and Travis Head remained unbeaten at 48.
