Aus-W Vs Eng-W: The first test match of Ashes Women 2023 has been like a roller coaster so far. After a brilliant batting display from Australia that saw them put 473 runs on board, It was looking like their game.
But England came back with a swift reply under Tamsin Beaumont’s command. Beaumont scored her maiden century to put England comfortably back in the driving seat. And the game that looked in Australia.’s pocket was getting out of their end by the end of Day 2.
Aus-W Vs Eng-W: Sutherland’s Fury
Before Beaumont, we saw another maiden century in the game. Australia’s all-rounder Annabel Sutherland scored a brilliant century to take her country to a very high score. She scored 134 runs in 187 deliveries and ruined English bowling.
Earlier, on the first day, Ellyse Perry missed out on her century by just 1 run and was caught out on 99. Sophie Ecclestone took five wickets in her 46.2 overs to stop Australia from getting to the score of 500.

Beaumont Ressurect England
In a match where England had to make 474 to avoid trailing, they needed a good start. But Annabel Sutherland strikes England again but with the ball this time. She got the wicket of opener Emma Lamb on a personal score of a mere 10.
But after that, it was all England. Tamsin Beaumont put 115 runs partnership with captain Heather Knight who got out on 57. And 67 runs not out partnership with Nat Sciver-Brunt who scored firey 41 in just 44 deliveries.
Beaumont remained not out on 100 and will look to resume her inning from here only. These crucial partnerships resulted in England finishing the day on 218 runs with the loss of just 2 wickets. At the moment, England is trailing by 255 runs.
