Australian Open: The Number 2 seed, Ons Jabeur has been knocked out in from second round of Australian Open 203 after a poor performance against the former French Open finalist Marketa Vondrousova. The Tunisian number two seed was beaten 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 in just 1 hour and 41 minutes.
There were only flashes of the skills that have made her such a favourite on the WTA tour as Vondrousova matched everything Jabeur threw at her on a chilly evening on Rod Laver Arena.
Vondrousova made an impressive comeback from injury to advance to the third round of the Australian Open. The Czech has been beset by wrist issues for the last couple of years.
She was out of action for over six month after reaching her major final at Roland Garros in 2019.
