AUSW vs SAW T20 World Cup 2023: In the Women’s T20 World Cup final held in Cape Town, Australia opener Beth Mooney played an exceptional inning of an unbeaten 74 runs off just 53 balls to lead the five-time champions to a competitive total of 156 for six against South Africa. However, one video from her knock is now making rounds on social media. In the sole six she hit, the ball hit straight on the camera.
Mooney hits six straight to the camera
After dependable opener Alyssa Healy was dismissed for 18 runs, Mooney joined forces with Ashleigh Gardner (29) to do the rebuilding work for the team. The in-form batter, who had scored 54 runs against India in the semifinal, displayed remarkable skills by hitting nine boundaries and a six at a strike rate of almost 140, making it difficult for the Proteas bowlers.
Mooney’s inning is also the third-highest score ever by an individual player in the Women’s World Cup final. Netizens are rapidly sharing the video of her sole six. Though, the camera was left unaffected, the speed of the ball clearly showed the speed through which she hit. Fans have been praising her for her skills.
