Babar got emotional while talking about his childhood in a YouTube podcast on AB De Villiers channel. The Pakistan skipper opened up about his ICC T20 World Cup 2024 ambition and also his struggles growing up.
Babar Azam Humble Beginnings
While talking on AB De Villiers YouTube channel, Babar Azam opened up about his tough childhood. But he also gave credit to his parents who supported them in every way and was grateful to them.
He stated “I don’t come from a rich family, and we didn’t have money all the time. But my parents supported me a lot. I used to play street cricket growing up, and playing cricket with a hard ball was very difficult”
Eyeing That World Cup
The Pakistan skipper also opened up about his T20 World Cup ambition and what his team desires. He stated that they had prepared with utmost sincerity and they had full confidence.
He stated “Yes, we are going for the World Cup. Our confidence is very high. We have a good team and senior players are stepping up, so this helps you a lot. We are very excited for the World Cup.”
