Babar Azam: In the second game of their three-game Test series against Pakistan, England made history by thrashing the opposition by a score of 26 runs. After winning both Test matches in Pakistan for 22 years, England finally won a Test series there. However, after losing the Test series at home, captain Babar Azam is receiving severe criticism. In Pakistan’s second innings, he was dismissed from the game after reaching just one run.

Babar Azam ‘s response stuns the journalist

Initially, it looked as though Pakistan would easily reach the target of 355 runs, but the England bowlers made a return and left Pakistan upset. After this game, the Pakistani captain was however questioned. In the press conference held in front of Babar Azam following the game, several questions were made. Babar’s response to one of these questions generated silence.

A reporter remarked, “Many fans feel you and Rizwan should concentrate entirely on T20. In Tests, the moment you get out, the entire team goes on the backfoot.” Responding to which, Babar said “So what do you want to leave the test?” The journalist asked, “What do you think about this?” in response. Babar replied,”Sir, we are not thinking in such terms.”

Mark Wood played a part in England’s historic triumph. In the second innings, he took four wickets. Oli Robinson and James Anderson each took two wickets. Joe Root and Jack Leach each secured one wicket each as well. Pakistan was surprised by these English bowlers as early as the second session. Imam-ul-Haq scored 60 runs for Pakistan while Saud Shakeel was dismissed for 94 runs. Beginning on December 17, the teams will play the third & final test match.
