BBL 2022-23: Melbourne Renegades won the match against Melbourne stars by 6 runs in a last ball thriller. Despite a good start, they couldn’t live up to the inning and went short by a narrow margin. The perfect start to the run chase for Stars, who were chasing 163, came from wicket-keeper Joe Clarke and Thomas Rogers (27 off 23), who combined for 88 runs for the first wicket.

While the duo was advancing ahead at Docklands Stadium with frequent boundaries, Renegades made their first breakthrough in the second innings thanks to a superb catch by Will Sutherland at the boundary rope.
Sutherland timed his leap well, flung the ball high, and then he came back in to finish the grab. It was the final delivery of the ninth over, which Rogers smoked at wide long-on. Sutherland’s amazing catch at the rope will undoubtedly be one of the talking points in the game, despite the fact that he cost the team quite a bit of money by giving up 25 runs in his two overs.
