Ball hits the fan directly on the nose in BBL 2022

A middle-aged fan inspired by professional players attempted a crowd catch but was unsuccessful, leading to a injury on the nose.

In the eleventh over’s final ball, Gilkes hammered Heat spinner Mitchell Swepson for a six over long-on. The third such shot of the over appeared to seriously injure the man, but he was brave enough to assert that things were under control by giving a “thumbs up.”

With two wins and three losses through their first five games, Thunder are presently fourth in the table. With three victories in their first five games, the Adelaide Strikers are in first place on the points table, followed by the Perth Scorchers.
