IPL 2023: The Indian Premier League is scheduled to begin on March 31 and has already undergone all necessary preparations. But, even before the league begins, the Board of Control for Cricket in India may experience a significant setback because the league’s enjoyment may be compromised someplace due to the ever-increasing incidences of Corona. At the same time, the first IPL game will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium between the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings and the reigning champion Gujarat Titans. But, the BCCI will now abide by the new regulations announced by the Indian government and would prefer that the Corona outbreak not expand to the IPL.
New BCCI standards announced before to the IPL
There is no fear, we will follow the protocols set by the Union Health Ministry as well as the State Governments, according to the new BCCI standards announced before to the IPL. Although though few individuals still wear masks, players, support personnel, franchise employees, and ground crew have all been urged to adhere to health and safety regulations. In addition, beginning in 2018, IPL opening ceremonies and games will alternate between home and away venues.
Players who have tested positive for COVID-19 would not be permitted to take part
The absence of bio-bubbles this season, however, will be practically the first in three years since the outbreak. Instead, the IPL has stated that it wishes to be “conservative” and that players who have tested positive for COVID-19 would not be permitted to take part in any training or games until they do not. The necessary negative test can be performed as early as the fifth day of recovery. While the frequency of COVID-19 cases in India has decreased, a medical officer in the IPL stated at the same time that “we still have to be careful of the developing strains that are becoming a worry at regular intervals.”
