As the World Cup approaches in just two months, the BCCI has not yet disclosed the final schedule of the prestigious event or commenced the ticket-selling process. This has led to growing frustration among the board members of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Amidst various administrative concerns, the scheduling of the World Cup stands out as the most significant issue. However, the exact dates for these rescheduled matches remain undisclosed, leading to uncertainty among certain teams.
Tickets unavailable for ODI World Cup 2023
Cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipate travelling to India to witness their favourite teams in action during this prestigious cricketing event. Yet, their plans are shrouded in uncertainty as BCCI has yet to finalize the ticketing procedure. Notably, tickets for the T20 World Cup 2022, held in Australia, were made available six months before the event.
Further sources reveal that the ICC’s commercial department has expressed discontent with BCCI’s choice of hosting the India vs. New Zealand match in Dharamshala. They believe that a match of such significance should not be held in a smaller stadium due to potential economic concerns.
