BCCI President: Sourav Ganguly’s tenure with the BCCI is about to come to an end. According to circulating rumours, Ganguly won’t run in the BCCI elections scheduled for October 18. Ganguly is expected to represent India for the position of International Cricket Council Chairman. According to a number of media, Roger Binny is the front-runner to become the next president of the BCCI.

According to a repory, Top BCCI executives had a meeting on Thursday. Additionally, it was determined by the officials that Ganguly would not run for office
Jay Shah most likely to be the General Secretary again
Ganguly, Jay Shah, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, Treasurer Arun Dhummal, and former BCCI President N. Srinivasan were all reportedly present during the meeting. According to the report, Jay Shah is most likely to run again for BCCI Secretary.
The state associations have begun proposing their candidates to the BCCI AGM as the deadline of October 12 draws near. Surprisingly, Roger Binny has been chosen by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to serve as their delegate in the upcoming elections in place of Santosh Menon. In the meantime, Avishek Dalmiya’s absence from the electoral list is noticeable.
In advance of the BCCI Elections later this month, 35 of the 38 state units have nominated their candidates, according to a Cricbuzz report. Universities, Railways, and Services have asked the electoral officer for extra time. The nominations can be submitted on October 11 and 12, as was previously stated.
Elections to be held on 18th of October
The same will be examined on October 13 and withdrawn on October 14. The BCCI AGM and the elections are scheduled for October 18 respectively.
Avishek Dalmiya, meanwhile, is not included on the electoral rolls. The current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will represent the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) at the AGM, making it apparent that the son of former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya will not serve in the organization’s future administration.
Three elective positions and five office-bearer positions will be filled through the BCCI elections. There are elections for the roles of president, vice president, secretary, joint secretary, and treasurer. Actually, eight of the 35 representatives listed on the rolls are eligible to be elected to different seats.
