Asia Cup 2023: The BCCI, the cricket governing body of India, is still pushing for the Asia Cup to be held in a different country entirely. According to information, there will be an unofficial gathering of Asia Cup officials watching the Sunday in Ahmedabad IPL 2023 championship game.
Presidents of Asian Cricket Boards to Meet at IPL 2023 Championship
“The respective presidents of the Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka Cricket Boards will attend the IPL 2023 championship match, which will take place on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. In order to outline the future course of action in respect to the Asia Cup 2023, we will have discussions with them, according to Jay Shah, secretary of the BCCI and president of the Asian Cricket Council. According to a portion of the Pakistani media, the BCCI has approved a hybrid format for holding matches. The first four non-Indian matches of the league stage, including Pakistan’s home match against Nepal to be played in Lahore before the competition switches to a neutral venue, are outlined in this plan put forth by Pakistan Cricket Board head Najam Sethi. Officials with the BCCI have denied these reports.

Pakistan’s Bid to Innovate Sparks Asia Cup Controversy
It is known that the Indian board prefers to hold the complete competition in Sri Lanka. Pakistan wants UAE to be the neutral location despite the hot climate in order to increase gate receipts. Pakistan also wants to push for the hybrid model. Additionally, the PCB has made a connection between their participation in the October–November ODI World Cup in India and the conflict over the Asia Cup. Four months before the major event, the schedule has not yet been made public.
