BCCI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) continues to excel in securing sponsorship deals for the Indian Cricket Team, and their most recent achievement is a highly lucrative partnership with SBI Life, the insurance division of the State Bank of India, which significantly enhances their revenue.
BCCI ropes in SBI Life as partners
In a statement, the BCCI officially declared SBI Life as an official partner for both domestic and international cricket throughout the 2023–2026 season. As per the report, SBI Life, a prominent Indian insurance provider, has committed to a payment of INR 85 lakh per game, exceeding the initial base price of INR 75 lakh.
The partnership between BCCI and SBI Life got underway with the inaugural IND vs AUS ODI match that took place on September 22 in Mohali. This three-year agreement, similar to the arrangement with IDFC First Bank, the title sponsor for all domestic bilateral series in India at INR 4.2 crore per game, covers a total of 56 games.
BCCI representatives speak on the deal
BCCI General Secretary Jay Shah said, “We are delighted to welcome SBI Life on board as an Official Partner for BCCI’s Domestic and International Season for the next three years, leading up to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.”
President Roger Binny said, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with SBI Life as the official partner of BCCI for both domestic and international cricket.
