The Board of Control for Cricket in India is looking to include two new franchises from the next season of the Indian Premier League. However, the process is still in the works and require a complete analysis of the market as well as feasibility said BCCI official as saying by IANS.
“We are looking to have two franchises in next year’s IPL but we will have to see the market and also assess the situation prevailing in the country. We can’t guarantee a timeline because there are a lot of things we have to consider,” said Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer Arun Dhumal as quoted by IANS.
The bidding process will get underway before the final decision of new franchise will be taken after the IPL-14.
The postponed season of the Indian Premier League will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after a sudden COVID surge in India.
