Bharat vs India: The speculation of the name change of India is garnering lots of traction. People from all over the country are showing their opinions on the topic. Many are up for the change while others are against it.
One person who is completely in for the decision is former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag. The ODI World Cup winner tweet during the Asia Cup 2023 match just came into focus as the speculation got fired up.
By that point, it was only a coincidence but Sehwag himself came out and supported the decision of name change. Furthermore, he even requested BCCI president Jay Shah to provide new jerseys to the team.
Bharat vs India
Virender Sehwag has made it clear that he is on Bharat’s side in this Bharat vs India battle. He confirmed his decision when he reposted and reacted to the post of the ODI World Cup 2023 India Squad announcement.
Sehwag wrote “Team India nahin #TeamBharat.” stating that he wanted the name to be changed to Bharat. He further stated that we will have to cheer for the team as they will go on this campaign.
“This World Cup as we cheer for Kohli, Rohit, Bumrah, Jaddu, may we have Bharat in our heart, Virender Sehwag wrote.
Requested New Jerseys For The Team
That is not all, as ‘Multan of Sultan’ demanded a new jersey for the team. He tagged BCCI president Jay Shah and asked him to provide new jerseys to the team with ‘Bharat’ written on them rather than India.
“This World Cup as we cheer for Kohli, Rohit, Bumrah, Jaddu, may we have Bharat in our hearts and the players wear a jersey which has ‘Bharat’.” Sehwag wrote.
