Bhuvenshwar Kumar: Is it goodbye? Has Bhuvenswar Kumar indirectly announced his retirement from cricket? If this is the end then let’s remember the journey of one of the most beloved cricketers who donned the Blue Jersey.

Journey of a player who reached the top of the pinnacle just through sheer hard work and determination. A journey that showcased us best batsmen of the world dancing on the fingertips of a 5 feet 9-inch lanky bowler.

The journey that took every Indian cricket fan together till the end. We were with him during his highs and we were with him during his lows. If this is the end, then it was a beautiful journey that entrapped us all.

Unofficial Retirement?

Yesterday, Indian medium pacer Bhuvenswar Kumar changed his Instagram bio that sent every Indian fan into hyperdrive. The Indian pacer dropped the word ‘cricketer’ from his bio and every conclusion leads to the inevitable.

Many fans and critics have termed it as an unofficial retirement. And this time, the Indian pacer is not injured or anything. But his absence from all formats of International cricket has left everyone puzzled.

He has also not played any competitive cricket since IPL 2023, not even Domestic cricket. And all these factors along with Instagram’s changed bio points to the fact that Bhuvi has unofficially retired from cricket.

A Brilliant Career

Now, if this is the retirement announcement, we should always remember the brilliant career this man had. A career that started with dismissing Mohammed Hafeez on the first delivery in 2012.

Bhuvi has given us uncountable magic moments over the years and we will always be grateful to him for that.
