Border - Gavaskar Trophy 2023

Border – Gavaskar Trophy 2023: The Australian cricket team has arrived in India for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to commence on February 9th in Nagpur. Recent reports have revealed that the Australian team is preparing for the series by practicing against a “duplicate” of Ravichandran Ashwin, named Maheesh Pithiya, who has a similar bowling action to Ashwin. However, Harbhajan took a dig on Ashwin and it did not go very well with the fans.

It is worth mentioning that Ashwin has had significant success against Australia in Test cricket, with 89 wickets taken in 34 innings against the Kangaroos. In response to reports of the Australians’ attempts to counter Ashwin, former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer humorously tweeted that the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has not even started yet and the Australians are already intimidated by Ashwin’s skills.

Commenting on a tweet by Cricket Australia, Jaffer wrote, “First Test is five days away and @ashwinravi99 is already inside Aus head.”
