KS Bharat and Suryakumar Yadav debut in Border Gavaskar Trophy
The 29-year-emotional old’s reaction was understandable given that he had to wait a long time in the wings before being given the chance to don the Indian whites. In the opening match of the Nagpur Test series, India fielded two newcomers as the hosts also selected No. 1 T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav over in-form Shubman Gill. As it turned out, KS Bharat’s mother was present at the Nagpur location, and she and the Andhra Pradesh wicketkeeper-batter shared a touching moment after obtaining his Test cap.
Bharat hugged his mother, who was also overcome with emotion at seeing her son fulfil a long-held desire. Before the toss, Bharat was seen hugging his mother, and stadium photographers did not miss the touching moment.
