BPL 2023: Controversy and Shakib Al Hasan are often linked these days. Tuesday’s Bangladesh Premier League encounter was marred by the all-rounder from Bangladesh’s volatile temper once more. The dispute started when Shakib stormed into the stadium immediately before the second inning of the match between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders.

Riders were held to 158 runs before the chase was launched by Barishal’s openers Chaturanga de Silva and Anamul Haque. But Shakib appeared upset while standing close to the boundary before the innings even got underway. Shakib appeared to desire Anamul to receive the blow, albeit the precise reason for this was not made apparent.
Shakib then exploded into the field in rage and argued fiercely with both umpires. After a brief conversation with the skipper of the opposing side, the all-rounder returned to the bench. A few days ago, Shakib was involved in a similar incident as well. Fans too have been amused by his frequent fights with the umpires.

Despite some disagreement to begin the innings, the Barishal came out on top. Ibrahim Zadran led the team in scoring with 52 while Mehidy Hasan sped through the chase with a quick 43 in just 29 balls.
