Stuart Broad was found in some sort of discomfort on Day 1 of the first Test match between England and Pakistan. Broad called for an inhaler while bowling his fourth over of his spell.
Its a fact that Broad is suffering from asthma for years and he didn’t keep it hidden is not a secret for anyone. The 34-year-old had revealed this in the 2015 Ashes series.
Even after his struggle in breathing, Broad stood tall against the Pakistani batsmen and bowled spell.
Broad has raised his power as a supreme and dependent bowler of his side and since the last 14 years, he is fighting with his half lung even then he took more than 500 Test wickets. He kept his asthma hidden for a few years but many of his team-mates knew about this but they kept quiet.
“One night we were asked to provide a piece of information about ourselves that no one else knew, with the notion of being open with each other,” Broad had once written in the Daily Mail.
“I shocked the boys a little when I told them I only had one and a half lungs because I was born three months premature,” he added.
