England clinches the series by winning the second consecutive match in the three-match T20 series against the arch-rivals Australia. In the second match, Australia batted first and set the 158 runs in front of England. Captain Aaron Finch was the leading run-scorer for the visiting team, while Marcus Stoinis also contributed with his gritty 35 runs. Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Agar did a good job as well down the order for the team.
Chris Jordan was the leading wicket-taker for the English team and he was well supported by the other bowlers as well. On the other side in the second innings, the England team showed their caliber right from the start of their innings and emerged as the tough side to beat in the game. Jos Buttler drifted the game away from the Aussies and scored 77 runs off 54 balls at a strike-rate of 142.
The third and final match of the series will be played on 8th September at Southampton. England had already won the series and they will be looking for the clean sweep while Australia will fight for their dignity and they will be wanting to go into the ODI series with positive momentum after getting a win in the final match.
