CPL 2023: Kieron Pollard is one of the most fearsome hitters in cricket. He is the ultimate T20 batsman and is not slowing down. He had an underwhelming IPL and many people thought that his time was up.
But after that, he has been constantly silencing his haters. He had an amazing Major League Cricket season and is now following that up with deadly hitting in the Carribean Premier League 2023.
On Sunday in the match between St Kitts And Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders, Pollard was in his vintage avatar. He hit four consecutive 100-meter sixes that shut everyone down in the stadium.
Tribango Knight Riders Dominance
Kieron Pollard played a captain’s inning when he helped his team comfortably chase a big target. While batting first St Kitts made 178 runs in 20 overs and that was a very respectable target.
But Pollard and his squad had different ideas. First, Nicholas Pooran made 61 runs in just 32 deliveries and then Pollard and Andre Russell finished the match completely. Pollard scored 37 runs in 16 deliveries while Russell made 23 runs in just 8 deliveries.
Knight Riders chased the target in just 17 overs and registered their first victory of the CPL 2023. Their first match was washed away by the rain and they lost the second match against St Lucia Kings.
Pollard Storm In CPL 2023
The video features the 14th over of Izharulhaq Naveed where Kieron Pollard hit four sixes in an over. The shocking thing is that three of those four sixes crossed the 100-meter mark.
The longest six out of the four was 107 meters while the smallest was 95 meters. The other two sixes reached 101 meters and 102 meters respectively.
