Virat Kohli: Cricket Fans were left dismayed on Saturday when the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 clash between rivals India and Pakistan had to be abandoned due to relentless rain at Kandy’s Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. However, a new video has gone viral on social media in which a Pakistani Girl can be seen praising Virat Kohli over Babar Azam.
After India posted a total of 266 runs, further play was washed away by the rain. Ishan Kishan displayed an impressive performance, contributing 82 runs off 81 balls, while Hardik Pandya scored an excellent 87 runs from 90 balls. Nevertheless, Virat fans were left disappointed as the star batsman was dismissed quickly, scoring just 4 runs off 7 balls.
Pakistani Girl chooses Virat Kohli over Babar Azam
This was surprising to his supporters who had hoped to witness him playing a big knock. Currently, a video featuring a Pakistani girl showering praise on Virat Kohli has gained widespread attention and is going viral. The girl, an ardent Virat Kohli fan, chose the former Indian captain over Pakistani player Babar Azam. She openly expressed her affection for Virat, and made it further clear by saying that she would pick him over Babar Azam without hesitation. Despite being in the midst of numerous Pakistani fans, the girl continued to praise Virat Kohli.
The girl said, “I’m a bit upset as Virat is my favourite cricketer and I wanted him to see score a century. I had come to see the match only for him and see him live.” Continuing further, she said, “I’m supporting Pakistani also, but I love Virat Kohli.”

In response, another Pakistani fan also barged in between, saying that the girl should support her own country rather than backing India. To which, the girl replied saying, “Chacha Padosi ko support karna koi buri baat toh nahin hain na (Uncle, supporting your neighbor is not a bad thing).”
