The players who have scored double hundreds in ODI are Martin Guptill, Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Fakhar Zaman, and Virender Sehwag. Rohit Sharma has the record for the highest individual score amongst these elites, with 264.
First Double Hundred
The first double hundred in ODI was scored by none other than the God of cricket. Sachin Tendulkar scored a brilliant 200 not out in 150 deliveries against South Africa in 2010. He started a decade that will bring lots of success to the Indian cricket team.
Sachin faced bowlers like Jacques Kallis and Morne Morkel to score his double century. He brought India out of a slump to help them reach a respectable score and ultimately win the match.

Indian Dominance
After that first double hundred by Sachin Tendulkar, a floodgate was opened, and Indian batsmen took complete benefit of it. Virender Sehwag scored a double century the very next year in 2011, followed by Rohit Sharma.
