Cricket Viral Video: Prabhakar made significant contributions to Indian cricket as an all-rounder between 1989 and 1995. With India struggling to find quality openers, he was frequently promoted to the top of the order and even scored a century in Test cricket, in addition to two more centuries in ODIs. However, one of his career highlights includes the dismissal of the Proteas Captain that came During the 1992/93 Test match at Cape Town,where he took the wicket of Kepler Wessels with just his third delivery and knocked off the middle stump.
Manoj Prabhakar’s brilliant delivery
In his career, Manoj picked 96 Test wickets at an average of 37.30 and fell short, but he made up for it with his 157 ODI wickets at an economy rate of 4.27. Kepler Wessels, South Africa’s first Test captain since their reintroduction to cricket, also led the team in their first World Cup. Although he had scored a century on his Test debut for Australia, he lost his first match as captain for South Africa in Bridgetown. However, he was about to win his first series as captain, with South Africa leading 1-0 in the series, which was the last Test match.
Wessels had a mixed series, scoring 59 and 74 in Bridgetown, and 118 and 32, 5 and 11, and 0 and 95 not out in other matches. In the final match, Prabhakar came in to bowl the second over. His third ball, which Wessels assumed would swing away from him, instead swung into him, leaving him with no chance to play a shot or even defend the ball. Wessels watched in horror as the ball uprooted the middle stump, resulting in him being dismissed for a duck.

The delivery uprooted the middle stump in style, completing a beauty of delivery and wicket. The Indian team erupted in celebration as everyone was left in awe. Manoj was a key member of the team in the decade of 90s.
