Cricket Viral Video: On February 25, 2009, cricket fans across the world were treated to a rare display of power and precision as Virender Sehwag, one of India’s finest batsmen, lit up the Christchurch stadium in the first Twenty20 match between India and New Zealand. India was asked to bat first, and Sehwag, nicknamed the “Nawab of Najafgarh,” made sure they got off to a blazing start.

Sehwag goes berserk

In the very first over, Sehwag took on the bowling of Tim Southee and hit three consecutive sixes, stunning the crowd and setting the tone for what promised to be an exciting match. Sehwag’s fearless and aggressive approach was a hallmark of his batting style, and this performance was just another example of his abilities. With 4 sixes, Sehwag scored 26 runs off just 10 deliveries, helping India post a challenging total of 162/8 in their 20 overs.

However, despite Sehwag’s heroics, India was unable to secure a win in the match. New Zealand, led by a strong performance from their batsmen, easily won the match by 7 wickets, leaving Indian fans disappointed. Despite the loss, Sehwag’s performance was the talking point of the match and cemented his place as one of the greatest openers in the history of cricket.
