Cricket Viral Video: In the warm-up match of the 2023 World Cup held in Thiruvananthapuram on October 2, Heinrich Klaasen delivered an astonishingly high no-ball while bowling for South Africa against New Zealand.
Huge no ball leaves player in disbelief
Heinrich Klaasen, primarily known as a wicketkeeper and a powerful middle-order batsman, found himself in an unusual situation during the warm-up match. Aiden Markram, standing in as captain for Temba Bavuma, decided to use him as a bowler. Klaasen bowled three overs without taking any wickets and gave away 23 runs. The most memorable moment of his bowling stint was an amusingly high no-ball bowled to Devon Conway, which left everyone amused.
The ball slipped from Klaasen’s grasp, soaring high over Devon Conway and even wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock, resembling what can only be described as the ultimate sky-high. Klaasen reacted in disbelief, muttering an exclamation of “oh no” in surprise. The video of the incident has now gone immensely viral on social media.

In their pursuit of a target of 322 runs, South Africa had reached a comfortable position at 211-4 in 37 overs when heavy rain disrupted play. Despite Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 84, Rassie van der Dussen’s half-century, and Heinrich Klaasen’s 39 off 37 balls, South Africa lost the match by seven runs according to the DLS method.
