An incident that made news occurred during the seventh One-Day International between Australia and India in Brisbane in 2012. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of India, stumped Australian batsman Michael Hussey with a delivery from Suresh Raina. But after watching the video, it was clear that Hussey’s foot was off the line when Dhoni removed the bails. The incident happened in the 29th over, and Billy Bowden, the ground umpire, referred it to Bruce Oxenford, the third umpire. The red sign flashed on the screen, signifying that Michael Hussey was out, following the event where he was stumped. Hussey returned to the pavilion as the Indian team began to rejoice. However, umpire Billy Bowden chased after him and asked him to continue his innings as he was declared safe.

Uncharacteristic Display of Frustration Amid Umpiring Controversy
Mahendra Singh Dhoni expressed his displeasure with the choice to the on-site umpires and even pointed a finger at Bowden. Later, the third umpire, Bruce Oxenford, stated that although he had pressed the correct button, the incorrect result had been shown on the big screen as a result of a technological issue. When Dhoni is on the pitch, he is renowned for maintaining his composure. Many fans were shocked by his actions during this confrontation, though. Although he was correct about what had happened, the episode grabbed news since no one had ever seen Dhoni in that situation.
