Cricket Viral Video: Cricket is filled with many strange moments in the game. In the ongoing County Cricket Championship, a batter was out twice by the same bowler in a similar style. English opener Zak Crawley had a forgettable third day of Kent’s County Championship match against Warwickshire as he was dismissed twice by Chris Rushworth’s bowling.
The story of strange dismissals
Warwickshire had resumed their innings on 367-3 after the second day was washed out, and they made quick progress in the morning session. Eventually, they declared on 453-4 with Sam Hain remaining unbeaten on 165, which was his second County Championship hundred of the season. In the Kent first innings, Crawley was dismissed for nought early on when Rushworth’s delivery that shaped in trapped him on the pads.
Daniel Bell-Drummond was the only Kent player to score more than 25 runs as they were dismissed for a meager total of 158. Warwickshire then enforced the follow-on. In the second innings, Kent’s openers Zak Crawley and Ben Compton had a difficult eight-over spell to negotiate before the end of the day. However, Crawley was dismissed in the sixth over of the innings, once again lbw to Chris Rushworth’s bowling. This was Crawley’s second dismissal of the day, and it resulted in his career first-class batting average dropping below 30 to 29.92. The moment occurred within hours of the first dismissal and was the same style.
