Bowler starts to panic
In a match between Zurich Lions and St Gallen Cricket Club, a batsman experienced an extraordinarily fortunate turn of events when a bowler inexplicably missed a straightforward run-out opportunity from close distance. Zurich’s batter Ankush took the opportunity to attempt a single while the opposing players were engrossed in an LBW appeal.
The bowler, Hekmatullah Khogiani, was presented with a straightforward opportunity to complete a run-out against Lal, who had ran out of his crease in a moment of panic. However, Khogiani’s own nerves seemed to get the better of him, resulting in an under-arm throw that veered wide of the stumps. His evident frustration was palpable as he came close to kicking the stumps in exasperation after letting slip what should have been an uncomplicated run-out.

The incident has rapidly gone viral on social media platforms. Speaking of the match, St Gallen emerged victorious by a margin of 20 runs following the decision by Zurich Lions to field first at the Stadiom Grundenmoos.
Led by Sher Muhammad’s impressive half-century (66) and a quick 38-run contribution from Musa Ahmadzai, the home team managed to set a formidable total of 125/6 in their allotted 10 overs. In response, Ashwin Prakash fought a solitary battle, accumulating 45 runs before his departure. Ultimately, the visiting team found themselves confined to a total of 105/6 as the match ended.
