Cricket Viral Video: When it comes to identifying India’s most charismatic fielders, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja undoubtedly come to mind. They are known for adding a light-hearted touch to the cricket field. However, there was a remarkable incident where they deviated from their usual calm personas, engaging in a heated exchange that clearly displayed their anger towards each other.
The incident harks back to 2013, during a tri-series held in the Caribbean, where Sri Lanka participated as the third team. In a second-round match against the host team, West Indies, India found themselves in the position of defending a DLS-adjusted score of 273 due to interruptions caused by adverse weather conditions.
Rare fight between Jadeja & Raina
Regular captain Dhoni was sidelined due to a hamstring injury when they faced the West Indies in a crucial match that demanded a victory. Consequently, in Dhoni’s absence, Virat Kohli had the opportunity to lead the Indian team for the very first time. Despite Kohli’s successful debut as India’s stand-in captain, the limelight was dimmed by the infamous altercation between Raina and Jadeja, diverting attention away from India’s impressive 102-run victory (achieved through the DLS method).
Following a crucial breakthrough wicket, as the Indian fielders took a moment to quench their thirst using their sippers, an intriguing scene unfolded involving Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. They were observed in what seemed to be a conversation, the subject of which remained undisclosed. It was apparent that Jadeja displayed visible displeasure toward Raina, indicating his disinterest in communicating with his teammate, despite Raina’s efforts to engage.
Subsequently, a heated incident transpired when Jadeja approached Raina in a burst of anger, leading to an intense verbal battle. Fortunately, the situation was promptly diffused by the remaining Indian players who intervened and stopped the fight.

In the game, Windies chose to field first against India. Kohli, making his debut as captain, managed to score a century, with Dhawan contributing 69 runs. India set a target of 311-7, but the match was interrupted by rain during Windies’ chase. Ultimately, Windies were bowled out for 171 in 34 overs, losing by a margin of 102 runs. Jadeja took 2 wickets for 44 runs despite a dropped catch by Raina. India went on to win the tri-series by defeating Sri Lanka twice. Dhoni returned for the final match and his unbeaten score of 45 played a crucial role in India’s victory.
