Cricket Viral Video: During a US Masters T10 League match, Former Kiwi batter Jesse Ryder delivered an explosive performance by smashing a remarkable 38 runs off just 12 balls. His aggressive onslaught included four sixes and three fours. The inning comes as yet another display of remarkable batting prowess after Aaron Finch‘s five sixes in an over in the same tournament.
Jesse Ryder goes all gun-blazing
In the T10 League, the ex-New Zealand cricketer wreaked havoc, leading the New Jersey Tritons (Captained by Gautam Gambhir) in successfully pursuing a target of 85 runs in a mere 28 balls. Owing to rain, the shortest variant of the game was curtailed even more, resulting in a five-over-per-side match. Introduced as the impact substitute and taking on the role of opener, Ryder faced just one dot ball from his initial delivery before launching a six off the very next ball, delivered by Sohail Khan.
Ryder continued his momentum by striking another boundary in the opening over, accumulating 14 runs from it. His pace of scoring picked up even further in the subsequent over. The initial delivery resulted in five wides, followed by another six off the next ball. Ryder wasn’t done yet; he hammered two additional sixes in that over, all from Dhammika Prasad’s bowling, along with a four, ultimately reaching a score of 34 runs from just ten deliveries.
Facing Jerome Taylor in the subsequent over, Ryder sustained his aggressive approach. As he took strike again after the first ball, he managed to strike a four on the second delivery, sending the ball through backward point. Unfortunately, Ryder’s innings concluded shortly thereafter. A slower delivery from Taylor deceived him, causing his mighty swing to result in an edge that carried through to the wicketkeeper. His knock ended with a strike rate of 316.6, smashing four sixes and 3 fours.

Despite Ryder’s impactful performance, the New Jersey Tritons’ pursuit of the 84-run target faced a setback. Nevertheless, Yusuf Pathan and Chris Barnwell took charge and brought the chase to a successful conclusion with an array of sixes. Barnwell managed to hit four sixes in just two overs, while Pathan sealed the victory with back-to-back maximums, completing the chase with two balls still remaining in the fifth over.
