Cricket Viral Video: On March 11, 2001, the cricket world was set to witness a momentous occasion as India and Australia faced each other in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. The Aussies were leading the series 1-0 and were a single win away from securing a historic Test series victory in India, but little did they know, one man was there to demolish their predictions.

The Aussies elected to bat first, with openers Michael Slater and Matthew Hayden making the most of the opportunity, putting on a 103-run partnership. The Australian team was looking strong, with Hayden in particular, looking set for his second century of the series. However, just as he was approaching his 100, he was dismissed for 97, with the team score on 193. Despite this setback, Australia continued to maintain their lead, with the score reaching 236/4. But India saw an opportunity to turn the game around and with the score on 252, Harbhajan Singh was introduced into the game.
In three deliveries, Harbhajan completely shifted the momentum of the game. He took the wickets of Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, and Shane Warne, becoming the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in a Test match. The crowd erupted with joy as they saw the star Indian bowler turn the game around. Despite this setback, the Aussies were able to score 445 in their first innings, but India’s reply was only 171. India then followed on, but with a monumental partnership between VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid, the team was able to secure a total of 657/7, setting Australia a target of 384 to win on the final day.

It was a defining moment in Indian cricket, and one that will forever be remembered as a turning point in the rivalry between India and Australia.
