Recently, a video from Australia’s Victorian Premier League 2017 made its way onto the internet, and it’s a classic example of how a single shot can turn into a series of comical events. In the video, the batsman tries to hit the ball to the on-side, but ends up hitting his non-striker teammate in the heel, causing him to fall to the ground in pain. The batsman also hurts his shoulders in the process and both batsmen were taken out by the shot.
The situation only gets funnier when a fielder collects the ball and carelessly throws it to the bowler who wasn’t paying attention, leading the ball to hit the bowler square in the forehead and bringing him down to the ground. The result was all three players, the bowler, the batsman, and the non-striker, were taken down in one hilarious moment on the field.
