Others expressed excitement at the sight of parliamentarians engaging in a sport, which is an uncommon occurrence in today’s times.
Evidently, a charity event in New Delhi served as the backdrop for the cricket match. Nehru took the leadership of the Lower House team, even though he had not played cricket since his days at Harrow. According to the video, Nehru’s team scored 222/3 in the first inning. In the second inning, Nehru declared himself “morally out” after scoring just one run. The game ultimately ended in a draw.
