Cricket Viral Video: In this year’s County Championship, something strange happened with Pakistan‘s Hassan Ali. While he was trying to avoid hitting the ball, he accidentally touched it with his bat, and the ball went up in the air. This season, Hassan Ali has been playing for Warwickshire and has been catching attention with his great performance.
Lucky batter makes escape
In the first two rounds of matches, he took eight wickets in total. In the ongoing match against Surrey, he once again demonstrated his bowling skills by getting Ollie Pope out in the first innings. But his batting didn’t go as smoothly. In Warwickshire’s first batting turn against Surrey, he got out for a golden duck due to leg before wicket (lbw), and the team could only score a low 150 runs. In the second batting turn, Warwickshire was in a tough spot with a score of 69-7 when Hassan Ali came in to bat.
As a short-pitched delivery bowled by Jordan Clark came towards him, Hassan Ali quickly bent down to avoid getting hit by the ball. But in a strange twist, his bat stayed upright, sticking out just near the off stump. Surprisingly, the ball touched the bat, and Hassan didn’t seem to realise it. He seemed a bit confused for a moment, looking around until he finally saw the ball rolling towards the leg side.
Luckily, his batting partner at the non-striker’s end, Ed Barnard, reacted swiftly and signalled for a quick run. Barnard was already making his way down the pitch when Hassan finally figured out what had happened to the ball. Recognising the risk of getting out, Hassan’s expression turned surprised as he dashed down the pitch to complete the run, just managing to avoid a potential mix-up.

Soon after adding 15 runs to the team’s total, Hassan got out, and this signaled the start of Warwickshire’s decline. The team experienced a collapse, and they were eventually bowled out for a total of 141 runs. Surrey took advantage of this situation and achieved a decisive nine-wicket win over Warwickshire.
